SDA connects students with the public in order to produce innovative, collaborative and effective design solutions that address vital community needs. SDA fosters professional growth for students and provides communities with a design voice in an atmosphere of collaboration and innovation.
Students for Design Activism (SDA) is a Campus Life program in the College of Design at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, MN. We consist of Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Urban and Regional Planning, Civil Engineering, Interior Design students and more. We meet regularly to facilitate student involvement in our community through projects related to our fields, interests and community needs.
SDA was formed in 2010 by three Landscape Architecture students who wanted to utilize their skills to help their community address needs and opportunities for innovation. We currently meet bi-weekly to collaborate on projects, brainstorm new ideas and reach out to new partners.
